About the Event

Our Monthly Coffee+Connect Group for Moms are an opportunity to get to know other foster, kinship, and adoptive parents in an informal setting. Build relationships and talk with other people who simply "get it".

The meeting space we have reserved does have a capacity limit, so we ask to please RSVP to each occurence of this event.

Note: we do not currently have childcare for this event. Please plan to leave your little ones at home to ensure a safe space for open conversation and sensitive topics.

These events take place on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Special Guest and Facilitator – Lisa Welter (The Katallasso Group)

If you've been discouraged or overwhelmed with the complexities of the court and the impact on your household - these sessions are made with you in mind! Let's talk about how restorative leadership can bring peace to your household, help everyone come to the table and be heard/understood respectfully, and kickstart new ways to live well together rather than the status quo—got a child/youth struggling, arguing, or refusing to cooperate with you, other professionals, or schools? You'll find relevant skills to support them here, too! Join this discussion and bring your questions! We'll talk through it together and equip you with new skills each session.

Lisa will share how she used restorative leadership practices at home when life felt chaotic, 150 court battles over a decade, teens fighting with adults, professionals, and schools, and more. It worked, and she'll share how restorative leadership skills helped her household stabilize.
