About the Event
We all know the joys and challenges of foster/kinship care. Join us for a 2-hour training session as we discuss how to maintain a healthy family on this journey. We will start with the notion that self-care is not selfish and needs to be at the forefront in our minds as we continue to show up for our families every day. We will focus on how to balance and prioritize self-care in our daily lives. This training will also address how to keep your marriage strong when feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and burned out. Finally, we will touch on blocked-care: what it is, signs to look out for and how to address it. The training will be lead by Meagan Galbari, Ma, LPCC.
Cost: $10 per individual or $15 per couple. Scholarships are available to ensure everyone can attend.
Dinner will be provided. Attendees will also receive a Certificate of Attendance for their annual training hours.
This event is an opportunity to connect with other foster/kinship families, gain valuable insights, and strengthen your family's foundation as you continue your fostering journey.
