What to look for and funding options available to pay for it

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Youth who have experienced extended stays in the foster system or continue within the foster system after age 18 experience difficulties accessing needed resources after exiting the system such as needed housing, education and employment.  This presentation will identify a few of the difficulties they face, along with information on areas to address in order to prepare youth to access higher education to prepare for employment. This presentation will also help participants identify additional needs, services and funding options that foster youth will need to complete training and education.

Note: You will receive a Certificate of Attendance for 90-minutes of training hours.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Foster/adoptive parents, youth (ages 13+) and social workers are all encouraged to attend!
