About the Event
Teen Talk is a monthly support group for biological and adopted teens (ages 13-17) in foster or kinship families. Through engaging discussions and fun activities, we create a space where teens can connect with peers who share similar experiences. This group is not for teens currently in foster care but is designed to support those navigating the unique role of being a foster sibling. By sharing and learning together, teens leave feeling heard, understood, and empowered in their journey.
This group meets on the 1st Saturday of each month. Location varies. RSVP required for each date.
This is a hybrid event, offering in-person and virtual options!
This Month's Details
This month, we’re excited to welcome Meagan Galbari, MA, LPCC, as our special guest. With over 25 years of experience supporting children and families in adoption and foster care, Meagan will lead a conversation on “Trauma 101: Understanding and Supporting Youth in Foster Care.”
Together, we’ll explore what trauma is, how it can show up in daily life, and how teens can support youth in foster care who are part of their family. The goal is to create a sense of understanding and empowerment in a safe space to ask questions and share from the unique perspective of being a biological or adoptive sibling in a foster family.
This group is led by and facilitated by Marie from The Katallasso Group.
