Mentorship Program

Our mentorship program is one of the best tools you can have as a new foster parent. We vet and match you with a mentor who is equipped to come alongside you in your journey, offer advice and insight based on their personal experiences and be someone in your life who simply gets it. We have foster mom mentoring (1:1), foster dad mentoring (1:1) and foster couple mentoring (2:2). You can also be both a mentor and a mentee. Please review the expectations below.

If you have any questions regarding our mentorship program, please contact us at connect@fostertogethermn.org

Mentorship Expectations

To become a mentor, you must first complete an application then we will follow up with additional information and questions. We go through a vetting process with all of our applicants, to ensure that we are setting up our mentorship relationships for success. Once selected, you will meet with a team member to review expectations, guidelines and responsibilities you have as a mentor. From there, we will go through a matching process to find a new foster parent(s) who we feel would be a good fit for a mentor relationship.
